I’m not even exaggerating when I say this trip was truly a dream come true. Ever since I was a little girl, as cliche as this sounds, Paris has always been a dream that was so out of reach. Never in my life did I think this would become a reality so soon, and I truly feel so blessed. FINALLY, even if it was just for the weekend, I got to visit the city that’s been romanticized in my head for the past 20 years.
DAY 1
As my boyfriend and I both have Fridays off, we decided to take the early morning flight from Manchester to Paris. After being stuck in the UK for 3 months (the consequence of losing my BRP – the story of which is in my last blog post), I was already getting restless by not being able to travel so I was SO ready for this trip. We arrived at around 10am and was greeted with heavy snowfalls that covered every inch of Paris. Once we dropped off our stuff at our hotel, we took a train and rushed over to Paris Disneyland! Thankfully our hotel was situated not too far from Disneyland so it didn’t take long and we managed to reach around 11am.
TOP TIP #1: BOOK YOUR DISNEYLAND TICKETS ONLINE. It saves so much more time and it beats the long queue there!
Once we got in, you best believed my inner 5 year old took over my entire body for the day. We ran around the park trying to get fast pass tickets, fought for the best seats on the rides and took a ton of photos by the castle. Disneyland was already so so magical, but with the snow, everything seemed so much more enchanting. However, my love for snow on that day lasted only for the first few hours as although beautiful, the snow was cold, sharp and gave me the most painful frostbite on my teeny tiny toes 😦 (I swear it actually hurt to walk). We also realized that most of the outdoor rides at Disneyland were closed due to the heavy snow which was disappointing. The best part of the day, in my opinion, was definitely the Disney light show at night. It was so mesmerizing, I was legit standing there in a trance.

DAY 2:
On the second day, we decided to act like the extra basic tourists we are and hit up all the tourist spots. After spending what seemed like forever trying to figure out how to get a metro ticket to the city centre, we finally made our way to Trocedero.
TOP TIP #2: Trocedero station is the place to go for the best views of the eiffel tower! This is also where the majority of the basic eiffel tower Instagram photos are taken!
Thanks to our lucky stars, the weather on this day could not have been anymore perfect. The sun was out and the snow had settled so beautifully, it was the perfect winter sunny day.

We ended a long day of walking around with a cute little dinner date in a random French bistro.
TOP TIP #3: BOOK IN ADVANCE OR GO EARLY if you want to go to a particular place to eat. By around 7/8pm, its super crowded everywhere and its so so hard to find a place to eat as we found out.
DAY 3:
Sadly our short trip had came to an end. Before our flight late at night, we spent the day roaming around the city for a little food adventure as per bae’s request. We discovered so many cute little bakeries and crepe shops. Stuffed to the brim with pastries, we decided to head to the Notre Dame, as we had missed it out on our walking tour the previous day. We hung around the city area for a while afterwards until it was time to head back to the hotel to grab our stuff and go to the airport for our flight back to Manchester.
Our trip in Paris was short but sweet. It was such a fulfilling experience and I am ever so lucky to have been able to go on this trip with my other half.
Till next time,
-Brenda
I live in France and have been to Paris, but never Disneyland Paris! Sounds absolutely magical, especially with the snow. Paris certainly has that magical quality to it, and I’m glad you got to see what the city had to offer! Hope you can return someday soon.
